FAQs

Got a question about the right unit, where we work, or what happens after you order? Here are the most common answers for homes, shops and offices in Mbombela, the Lowveld and North West.

How do I know what size aircon I need?

Start with the room size, ceiling height, how many windows you have and how much sun the room takes during the day. A small bedroom usually needs less cooling than a north-facing lounge or a shop with glass fronting. If the unit is too small it will run flat-out and still struggle, if it is too big it can short cycle and waste power.

For a proper match, we do site assessments and look at the actual space instead of guessing from a brochure. That matters in the Lowveld, where heat and humidity can push a unit harder, and also in offices and homes that must cope with load-shedding and temperature swings. If you already have an old unit, we can also help check whether a replacement should be the same size or adjusted up or down.

What air-conditioners do you keep in stock?

We keep a range of wall splits, cassettes and portable units at trade prices. Stock changes through the week, so if you need a specific capacity, it is best to check first before travelling in. We work with homes, contractors and businesses that need supply without long delays.

Our warehouse setup helps with quicker collection and planning for installations in Mbombela, White River, Hazyview, Klerksdorp, Potchefstroom and Rustenburg. If you are ordering for a project, tell us the number of rooms, the unit type and when you need them on site. That helps us line up stock, fittings and the right team in time.

Do you install in my area?

Yes, we install in the Lowveld and across North West, with coverage based from Mbombela. Our main areas include Mbombela, White River, Hazyview, Klerksdorp, Potchefstroom and Rustenburg. If your town is nearby and you are unsure, send the location and we will confirm whether we can assist.

For installations, we plan around access, power supply and the best route for drainage and pipe runs. In coastal or humid areas people often ask about corrosion, but even inland dust and hot roofs can affect where a unit should go. We keep the advice practical and local, because a good fit starts with the site not just the box.

What happens during an installation?

We keep the process straightforward. First we confirm the right unit and the site details. Then we schedule the installation, fit the unit, test the system and make sure it is cooling properly before we leave. If a ceiling cassette or replacement unit is involved, we also check the mounting, drainage and electrical points.

Our installations team handles new installations, cassette fitment, portable setup and system commissioning. We also do fault finding, gas top-ups, deep cleaning and scheduled servicing. If the unit is installed in a business that must keep trading, we will try to plan the work to limit disruption.

How often should aircon be serviced?

For most homes, once a year is a practical minimum. For offices, shops and units that run most of the day, two services a year is often better. Dust, pollen and constant use all build up faster than people expect, especially when a system is working hard during the hotter months.

Routine servicing helps with air flow, cooling performance and early fault spotting. It can also reduce unnecessary gas loss and catch blocked drains before they make a mess inside. If a unit starts smelling, dripping or making unusual noise, do not wait for the next service date, get it checked sooner.

What should I do before you arrive on site?

There are a few simple things that help the job go faster. Clear the space around the indoor and outdoor units, make sure someone is available to show access points and keep pets away from the work area. If the unit is replacing an old one, tell us whether the old unit must be removed or left in place for another contractor.

If you are in an area with load-shedding, let us know your backup power setup if there is one. That matters for commissioning and testing. It also helps if you can share any building rules, working hours or access limits before the team arrives. A bit of planning saves a lot of running around.
